Facebook Changing the Best Way To Keep in Touch

Internet has finally found the best site to keep in contact with long lost friends and families with Facebook.

Why do I say this? I’m the actual proof with finally finding my close high school buddies and friends that I would not have thought of getting in touch after I moved to Sydney from Australia’s Capital, Canberra.

Is Facebook just a phase or is it a one stop shop to communication channel to everyone in the world, be it your friends, family, relationships or business? It took me over a year to join and I now have jumped in the bandwagon.

I actually tried to see if I can use Facebook to help me win a blogging competition that I entered. The results are in… With the power of the Facebook community I came first in a voting system thanks largely to putting my blog and links to a few friends and my whole facebook friends.

So what are you wating for come and join me… here’s a short instruction:

Create a profile on Facebook

Add me to your friends list: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=740822227 Invite other people to join

5 Video Tips To Going Viral - Gimme More Britney Spears!

britney_spears.jpg

I watched a really good TV Show last night with Sydney’s Channel 9 here on I-Caught showing the Best Videos and most downloaded videos on YouTube and other video sharing sites. (I actually missed Australian Idol just to watch this show, and it was worth it!)

What I found interesting was that got a hold of most of the people who uploaded the videos and the people who were on the videos. What did I learn from the show and Videos going viral?

Here are my 5 Tips to making your Videos going Viral:

  1. Videos must be short - Viewers don’t like to watch long videos as they find it boring and it drags on.

  2. The Freakier the video the better - Video viewers love to watch strange things

  3. Funny/Hilarious - If you look at Youtube, you will find a lot videos that are hilarious and that are interesting

  4. Interesting/controversial and Creative - Every person loves to pass around videos that will interest their friends and family especially those videos that are information filled and done really well.

  5. Sex Sells - I’m not trying to encourage porn in your videos, Having sexy videos that will attract your viewers attention, similar to the Lynx Ads (Bam Chicka Wah Wah…check youtube for examples).

So what does this all have to do with Britney Spears? If you’ve been following her new MTV appearance, It was a shocker… but when I checked Youtube to see if it was posted there… The videos that been posted for less than 24 hours already has 150,000 views for her pathetic performance! Why you may ask? Well, Britney has all the elements of the 5 criterias I mentioned.

I was going to post the Video here but Youtube has already taken it out due by viacom rights. I’ve managed to get the MTV Video promo that got viewed by over 713,000+, here it is:

I will do my own case study and see if it works for me. I suggest you try it out for yourself and let me know how you go.

Ok… that’s it for now.

Have a great day!

Chaser’s War on the World Leaders…

chasers1.jpg

They finally have pushed it to another level, as my previous post about the APEC Summit with the 21 of the World Leaders here in Sydney Australia. The ABC Chanel’s “Chaser’s War On Everything” team of jokers/pranksters had tried to push the limits and breached the security of APEC restricted zone by having a three-car motorcade and drove within metres of George W. Bush’s Sydney Hotel.

I’ve been a huge fan of The Chaser’s War with Everything shows where they put together pranks on celebrities, shows and everything you can think off. They really have created controversy and buzz with there show.

It really embarassed the NSW Police Commissioner with the amount of over $100 Million spent on protecting and securing the 21 World Leaders. There were 11 of the Chaser’s team arrested and have been huge buzz all around the world and it could been worst for the team since the tight security have snipers all around… and anything could’ve happened.

I believe that everything were just a prank and no harm was intended to anyone… we’ll soon find out what they will do with the Chaser’s team. Chaser’s guys are total genious’ with creating publicity, controversy and buzz.

Check out some of their show clips on Youtube and Google Video. Here’s one of my favourite video:
