Hitting a Homerun with the Right Niche

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Every successful Internet marketer knows how important it is to choose just the right niche in order to create a successful Internet marketing empire.  After all, you don’t want to just hawk products; you want to establish yourself as an expert.  In order to do this, you must select a niche that you know something about and can talk about with an air of authority.  While there are numerous opportunities to sell or market almost anything you can imagine on the Internet, you’re likely to achieve far greater success if you can involve yourself with something that means something to you in some way.

What do You Care About?

While you don’t have to absolutely love the niche in which you decide to market, if you are passionate about it, that passion will show through in everything you do.  On the other hand, if you don’t have some affinity for your niche and are just trying to sell product, that will surely show through also and will cost you in the end.  So the key is to build your marketing around something that touches you personally in some way.

Start by taking inventory of your own likes and dislikes.  Then dig deeper.  For example, say you are absolutely passionate about dogs.  However, when you do a Google search, you discover that there are more than 200 million websites already in place for dogs.  You realize that you’re unlikely to have your website in the top search results with so much competition already in business so what can you do?  Here is where you start digging.

Dig Deep

What is it about dogs that you like so much?  Is there a certain breed that you feel close to?  Perhaps you’re a dog breeder yourself.  Or maybe your dog has a disease or condition that you’ve had to pay close attention to.  Maybe your dog even requires a special diet.  Once you identify what it is about dogs that you feel passionate about, you’re ready to start narrowing your choices for a niche market.

It works the same way with any subject.  Maybe you like toys.  Plug the word "toys" into Google or any other search engine and you’ll once again be met with millions of webpage results.  Narrow the field, however, and you’ll discover that there is indeed, room for one more.  And it might as well be you.  Just like we drilled down with the subject of dogs, do the same thing with toys.  There are toys for adults and toys for kids.  Electronic games, board games, outside toys, educational toys; the list goes on and on.

What if you’re already marketing a product and now you need to find a niche for it to fit in?  You can do this and many marketers do; however, it is still better to build your marketing empire around something that you already care about.  Still, sometimes we have to start where we are and if you already have products you’re trying to sell, you can still develop a niche around them.  The important thing is to establish yourself as an expert so that others will turn to you for information and products when they are in the market for what you are selling.

Why A Blog is A Must In Today’s World

Blog In Today’s World

Blogs are all the rage and that isn’t going to change anytime soon. Why a blog is a must in today’s world can be answered many different ways. One guy who has a nice blog and uses it for many purposes is John Delavera. Delavera has learned that connecting with customers and friends is very important if you really want to take your business to the next level. His blog does that and more. let’s dig deeper into why blogs have become a very powerful marketing arm and something that as a business person or just an individual you should consider them very carefully. Blogs are just what I call mini web sites that people or businesses post things on and people come to read. This can be beneficial in many different ways. Businesses benefit as they can introduce new concepts or products into the market and get a feel for how people like them or even dislike them based on a blog. Surveys can also be put up on blogs to judge how your business is progressing or what the public may think of it. Over 50,000 blogs each day are created and that trend doesn’t look to slow down anytime soon.

One of the main things people come to blogs for though is information. No matter what information drives people back to a blog that is always updated. It’s like a built in generator for traffic. Once you get it going most likely repeat people will come in and see what you have to offer. It’s just the nature of the beast. Blogs can also be a platform for your business to launch new things without a great cost to you. People launch products and other things from blogs to see what kind of a response they will receive before they spend the money for a total Internet launch. It just makes good sense to do it that way. Blogs can help you build a mailing list for your business. Your blog can be customized to have places to signup for updates and even newsletters to give your customers a heads up to what is going on. This is an invaluable resource to the company and even the people signing up for the newsletters. Blogs are search engine magnets which is another reason why you need one. Search engines love new content and blogs give you that. Getting good search engine rankings mean more people can find your site and see what your offering and in turn this could mean more money to you in the long run. Blogs build many different things for you from relationships to product awareness. As more people blog eventually they run into blogs they like and bookmark them. This means a good blog will get a following that will be loyal to your brand. Many people don’t realize this and blog just for fun. Their is nothing wrong with that, but imagine how businesses that really put an effort into blogging how their time would be cut in half as would their expenses. It’s alot cheaper to send 1,000 emails than it is to send 1,000 letters announcing a product launch. I guess in the end can you really afford not to have a blog in this money driven world of ours. The answer is no you can’t. The ones who embrace blogs are going to profit real well and the ones that don’t are going to get left behind. Hopefully you will be the one moving ahead of the crowd and use blogs to grow your business and make your life better.

Opt In List Cash Profits

One of the best ways for you to convert sales from the many web surfers that visit your sites is opt in lists. Opt in lists are an easy way to communicate long after your web visitors leave your web site and consistently sell your product or service. If you are looking for a great way to sell on line, here are some tips on creating opt in lists.

Opt in lists are extremely easy to create and usually just require a small software program. An opt in email list starts off with a visitor landing on your site. Once a visitor is at your site, you can make a great offer of asking the person to sign up for an important newsletter, great tips, software, etc. They just fill in a little box that collects their name and email address. The small software program then stores this information for later use.

Once you have a few email address that are interested in receiving information about your products or web site, you can send great information and offers each week, bi monthly or monthly. By keeping in contact with your visitors through opt in emails lists, you can convert sales. It is important to note that opt in emails lists are not spam because these visitors signed up to receive your messages.

If you are looking for a great way to build your customer base, look into opt in email lists.

To your success,

7 Simple Steps to Stop Procrastinating

7 Simple Steps to Stop Procrastinating

Are you a victim of laziness, a root cause of procrastination? Do you often suffer because of what you initially considered as easy has turned difficult with the loss of time, and what appeared hard, due to further delay, has become impossible now? You may draw comfort from the fact that you are in the company of many that are affected by procrastination. But you must realize that you will experience true comfort, if you get rid of your laziness by shaking yourself up into action. Like many others, you can indeed stop procrastinating and start meeting deadlines, by following a few simple steps that teach you effective time management.

  1. Plan your daily must-do activities. Draw up a to-do list; preferably, write it down on paper; or, use a computer if you prefer.

  2. Prioritize the activities, the more important ones taking precedence over the less important. If there are urgent things to do, but not important enough to be worried about if not done, put them below the important ones. The idea is based on the established principle that 80% of rewards accrue from 20% of effort directed towards accomplishing important work.

  3. Estimate the time required for each of the listed activities after analyzing their complexity. Avoid underestimation, as you may not have enough time to do well a particular of piece of work. Similarly, avoid overestimation, for that may leave some activities without enough time. A realistic budgeting of time is a must. Time allocation is a skill that is acquired with experience. So keep reviewing and revising your time schedule as you progress.

  4. Organize your life. That will help you avoid wasting your precious time and leave more time for the actual work. Remember indiscipline causes confusion, even chaos, in life. It eats into your time. Avoid sloppiness. For instance, leave your personal belongings of daily use, like your glasses, your clothing, your computer etc., in the same place. If you do, you won’t need to spend time looking for them all over the place. Apply the principle of doing work first and then taking time for pleasure and relaxation. Reverse the order only at the pain of falling prey to procrastination. You can get time for rest and relaxation if you are efficient in doing your assigned work.

  5. Start working bit by bit. You may see a mountain at first, but mountains can be moved, especially if you begin by moving just a small stone from it. You know you cannot move the entire mountain all at once. Do not be overwhelmed by the immensity of the task before you. That will put you off. And you will put off the task for another day, which will never come. Just begin by taking one small step and you will invariably reach your destination.

  6. Put first things first early in the day. Remember procrastination grows into a habit by the minute. Begin your day by launching yourself head first into the most important job waiting to be done.

  7. Learn to cope with anxiety, depression, stress and other similar conditions of the mind related to your problems in life. Keep yourself fit, not just physically but mentally as well. Learn and practice suitable mental relaxation techniques such as meditation.

Now is the time to start taking action and build momentum in your online business.

Take charge of your life and make it happen!

To your Success,

Carlo Selorio
