7 Simple Steps to Stop Procrastinating

Are you a victim of laziness, a root cause of procrastination? Do you often suffer because of what you initially considered as easy has turned difficult with the loss of time, and what appeared hard, due to further delay, has become impossible now? You may draw comfort from the fact that you are in the company of many that are affected by procrastination. But you must realize that you will experience true comfort, if you get rid of your laziness by shaking yourself up into action. Like many others, you can indeed stop procrastinating and start meeting deadlines, by following a few simple steps that teach you effective time management.

  1. Plan your daily must-do activities. Draw up a to-do list; preferably, write it down on paper; or, use a computer if you prefer.

  2. Prioritize the activities, the more important ones taking precedence over the less important. If there are urgent things to do, but not important enough to be worried about if not done, put them below the important ones. The idea is based on the established principle that 80% of rewards accrue from 20% of effort directed towards accomplishing important work.

  3. Estimate the time required for each of the listed activities after analyzing their complexity. Avoid underestimation, as you may not have enough time to do well a particular of piece of work. Similarly, avoid overestimation, for that may leave some activities without enough time. A realistic budgeting of time is a must. Time allocation is a skill that is acquired with experience. So keep reviewing and revising your time schedule as you progress.

  4. Organize your life. That will help you avoid wasting your precious time and leave more time for the actual work. Remember indiscipline causes confusion, even chaos, in life. It eats into your time. Avoid sloppiness. For instance, leave your personal belongings of daily use, like your glasses, your clothing, your computer etc., in the same place. If you do, you won’t need to spend time looking for them all over the place. Apply the principle of doing work first and then taking time for pleasure and relaxation. Reverse the order only at the pain of falling prey to procrastination. You can get time for rest and relaxation if you are efficient in doing your assigned work.

  5. Start working bit by bit. You may see a mountain at first, but mountains can be moved, especially if you begin by moving just a small stone from it. You know you cannot move the entire mountain all at once. Do not be overwhelmed by the immensity of the task before you. That will put you off. And you will put off the task for another day, which will never come. Just begin by taking one small step and you will invariably reach your destination.

  6. Put first things first early in the day. Remember procrastination grows into a habit by the minute. Begin your day by launching yourself head first into the most important job waiting to be done.

  7. Learn to cope with anxiety, depression, stress and other similar conditions of the mind related to your problems in life. Keep yourself fit, not just physically but mentally as well. Learn and practice suitable mental relaxation techniques such as meditation.

Now is the time to start taking action and build momentum in your online business.

Take charge of your life and make it happen!

To your Success,

The Success Principles

Hey Everyone,

I hope your all enjoying the videos I’ve been posting in the blog… and different ways you can drive traffic to your site via videos.

I forgot to mention that I bought a few books in Manila, Instant Income by Janet Switzer and The Success Principle by Jack Canfield and Janet Switzer. I heard a lot of great things about Janet Switzer about building multiple streams of income from one product and I finally get to learn from her. Jack Canfield well… he is the co-author of Chicken Soup for Soul series.

I’m still long way from finishing The Success Principles but I’ve already picked up great tips from the book, Jack and Janet breaks down the principles into Fundamentals, Transforming yourself for Success, Build Your Success Team, Create Successful Relationships, Success and Money and Success Starts now… Its a very thorough book which breaks down everything you need to know and there are great quotes from Success people that will inspire you to take action.

I’m still longway away from finishing the book and I’m just getting great nuggets to help me through life and business.

Here’s some example:

First Principle - Take 100% Responsibility for Your Life.

If you want to be successful, you to take 100% responsibily for everything you experience in your life. This includes the level of your achievements, the results you product, the quality of your relationships, the state of your health and physical fitness, your income, your debts, your feelings-Everything!

And that’s just the start of the book… I can’t wait to put the book into action as I myself is on a form slump where I’m having problems with getting things done and pushing through ideas and products.

Pick up the book in Amazon for as low as $16US.

Here’s a video about the book…

Have a great week!!!

Videos are the Way of Marketing

Hi All,

I’ve been looking at a lot of new launches and new products… and it finally sunk in that the video marketing is the way to go with creating products, creation buzz, video membership sites and lots more!!!

From my research, a lot of the top marketers are using this strategy as it establishes the product owner as an Authority from a buyers point of view.

With the big Video hubs like Youtube, Google, Yahoo,MSN… its so much easier to market your videos for less money… you don’t have to store your videos in your own hosting company.

I’ll address further later on.

Have a great week everyone.

10 Questions To Help You Improve Yourself and Your Life

10 Questions To Help You Improve Yourself and Your Life

Every person wants to improve himself/herself to become the best he/she can be. In order to help one to do just that, one should analyze himself/herself with these 10 questions.

  1. What do I really want?

So simple a question, yet so difficult to answer. The ultimate answer to this question lies in finding something you are good at, but also enjoy doing. The only way you can know for sure whether you want to do this for a good part of your life is through due diligence of doing that activity for a while.

  1. Should I really change?

This question deals with whether you really want to make changes to your current lifestyle. This will take time and effort; the question is, is it worth it to you to put in this time and effort to change your lifestyle? What are the reasons for changing your lifestyle? Only you can answer the question of whether it’s worth it or not.

  1. What’s the bright side in all of this?

This questions should remind you that analyzing your life and deciding whether to change your lifestyle or not should not be seen as a negative or as an interrogation, but rather, as a way to grow and become a better person, no matter whether you decide to make changes to your lifestyle or not.

  1. Am I comfortable with what I’m doing?

This question should remind you that you should be comfortable in your lifestyle because you are a unique individual. Your tastes in fashion, food, recreation, humor, etc. won’t be the same as anyone else’s, and it shouldn’t be the same. No one’s tastes should be exactly the same as anyone else’s.

  1. Have I done enough for myself?

This question should help you focus on whether there is something more you want to do in your life, such as take up a new hobby, help out with a charitable cause, get more involved in community gatherings, go to or go back to college, etc. In small doses, discontentment can help propel you to want to achieve more in your life.

  1. Am I happy at where I am today?

As mentioned at the beginning of this article, every person tries to strive to be the best person he/she can be. If you’re doing something well, see if you can do it even better. Or, see if you can do something else just as well as the first activity; even try doing both activities at a high level at the same time.

  1. Am I appealing to the opposite sex?

No matter what improvements you make to make yourself more attractive to the opposite sex, including getting in better physical shape, becoming more intelligent, wearing different clothing, wearing your hair in a different style, etc., you will improve yourself regardless of whether you attract that special someone you want to attract or not.

  1. How much could I have?

This question focuses on how hard you are working and how hard you want to work. Just about everyone wants lots of money, a great home, a great car, the ability to go on long vacations whenever they choose, but the question is, are you willing to do what it takes to achieve those desires and dreams? Only you have the power to improve your life if you truly want to.

  1. What motivates me?

This question will cause you to really focus on what drives you in your life, whether it be your faith, your desire for a better lifestyle, your wanting to please others and fit in with them, etc. You have to examine deep-down what really causes you to want to excel in all that you do.

  1. What really makes you tick?

This question focuses on the idea that you can be just about anything you want to be, but if you start focusing too much on the obstacles in your way to that dream, then you are already allowing yourself to be defeated before you can even begin achieving that dream. You can overcome virtually any obstacle if you really want that dream, but the real question is, how badly do you want that dream and what are you willing to do to reach that dream (within legal and ethical limits, of course)?

To your Success,
