Hitting a Homerun with the Right Niche

Every successful Internet marketer knows how important it is to choose just the right niche in order to create a successful Internet marketing empire.  After all, you don’t want to just hawk products; you want to establish yourself as an expert.  In order to do this, you must select a niche that you know something about and can talk about with an air of authority.  While there are numerous opportunities to sell or market almost anything you can imagine on the Internet, you’re likely to achieve far greater success if you can involve yourself with something that means something to you in some way.

What do You Care About?

While you don’t have to absolutely love the niche in which you decide to market, if you are passionate about it, that passion will show through in everything you do.  On the other hand, if you don’t have some affinity for your niche and are just trying to sell product, that will surely show through also and will cost you in the end.  So the key is to build your marketing around something that touches you personally in some way.

Start by taking inventory of your own likes and dislikes.  Then dig deeper.  For example, say you are absolutely passionate about dogs.  However, when you do a Google search, you discover that there are more than 200 million websites already in place for dogs.  You realize that you’re unlikely to have your website in the top search results with so much competition already in business so what can you do?  Here is where you start digging.

Dig Deep

What is it about dogs that you like so much?  Is there a certain breed that you feel close to?  Perhaps you’re a dog breeder yourself.  Or maybe your dog has a disease or condition that you’ve had to pay close attention to.  Maybe your dog even requires a special diet.  Once you identify what it is about dogs that you feel passionate about, you’re ready to start narrowing your choices for a niche market.

It works the same way with any subject.  Maybe you like toys.  Plug the word "toys" into Google or any other search engine and you’ll once again be met with millions of webpage results.  Narrow the field, however, and you’ll discover that there is indeed, room for one more.  And it might as well be you.  Just like we drilled down with the subject of dogs, do the same thing with toys.  There are toys for adults and toys for kids.  Electronic games, board games, outside toys, educational toys; the list goes on and on.

What if you’re already marketing a product and now you need to find a niche for it to fit in?  You can do this and many marketers do; however, it is still better to build your marketing empire around something that you already care about.  Still, sometimes we have to start where we are and if you already have products you’re trying to sell, you can still develop a niche around them.  The important thing is to establish yourself as an expert so that others will turn to you for information and products when they are in the market for what you are selling.

See How Easily You Can Write The Perfect Sales Letter

Think of your sales letter as the display window of your online business. If customers don’t see something they want almost immediately, they’ll keep walking, or in this case, clicking, until they find a site with a product or service that does interest them. Review the following components of a sales letter and compare the examples with your own.

Headline

Not surprisingly, this is the single most important part of the sales letter. You have mere seconds – and just a few words to convince potential customers to keep reading. With thousands of other sales letters all over the Internet, what can you do to make yours stand out? The concept, at least, is simple. You’re going to have to come up with something that will literally grab your readers and make them want to read further.

This “grabbing” phrase, or headline, can be a question, command, or a dynamic piece of news. Consider the difference in the following and see which one “grabs” you. FREE SOFTWARE! Versus FREE MONEYMAKING SOFTWARE! See how just one word adds interest and intrigue to your headline? Surf the Internet to find the headlines in sales letters that grab your attention, and after you click past the ones that don’t, use your back button and ask yourself why those headlines didn’t get your attention. As important as it is though, the headline will only get you so far. You’ll also need the following:

Stress the Benefits

You can’t just say that your product is the best one out there. You have to tell your readers why they need this particular product and, just as important, why they need to purchase it from you. If you’re selling a weight loss product, for example, are they going to lose weight in 30 days? Are they going to lose weight for less? Don’t just tell your readers they will lose weight if they use your product; let them know about all the benefits that will be theirs if they buy your product now.

Ask Questions

Don’t just ask your readers questions. Ask your readers to ask themselves questions. For example, put yourself in the shoes of your reader. What questions naturally come to mind? Ask open-ended questions that cause your readers to think. If you’re selling the latest and greatest solution for bad breath, for example, ask the reader, “How would you feel if a co-worker told you that you have bad breath?” Now you have the reader (customer) imagining what’s going to happen if they don’t buy your product.

Use Examples

Here you can reassure customers that they have indeed found the right solution to their problem. “Imagine talking to friends, co-workers, and complete strangers with complete confidence!” Now you’ve persuaded readers how good they’ll feel if they buy your product. List several examples within your sales letter that extol the benefits of your product.

Endorsements

Testimonials from other customers are powerful. They’re powerful when they’re real; they will backfire and cost you sales when they’re made up, however. Don’t insult your customer’s intelligence by filling your sales letters with phony testimonials and endorsements. No one really cares what Jim from Alabama thinks; on the other hand, tell them what Jim from www.arealsite.com thinks and they’re liable to pay attention. How do you accomplish this? Simple. Give Jim a freebie and ask him to write an honest testimonial of what he thinks of your product. Do this a few times and you’ll have powerful endorsements that customers will believe.

Closing

Experiment with closings the same way you do with headlines. Do a little research to discover which closings impress you the most. Some research indicates the words, “add to cart” generate more sales than the words, “buy now,” or something to that effect. Most important, make your closing sound sincere and make it easy for your customers to order. Also, make sure you have taken the steps to protect your customer’s information and assure them that they are on a secure site.

Guarantee

The last assurance you must give your customers is that there is no risk to the decision they’ve just made or are about to make. Offer a money back guarantee and list any restrictions, such as the length of time the guarantee is in place.

Follow the above steps and your sales letters will turn readers into customers!

Internet Networking How Can It Help You?

Internet Networking

If you have a web site, product or service, there are many ways to make your business succeed than just spending money on advertising. One of the best ways to succeed on the internet is through networking. Internet networking is a way that people can build their affiliate base, business to business customers, and find great joint ventures. Here are some tips.

Internet networking is just as important as real world business networking. Internet networking is a great way to meet people on the web that can help your business prosper. One of the best ways that internet networking can help you is by developing contacts of affiliates. Affiliates are people with vast networks of web sites that can reach a wide audience and sell your products to the masses for a commission fee.

Another great way internet networking can help is by finding great business to business customers. Many internet marketers create products for fellow internet businesses. If you want to reach these businesses, sometimes affiliates or advertising through traditional means isn’t the most effective way to go about it. Networking allows you to get to know the other businesses and build a relationship with them. It also opens up the opportunity to come together on joint ventures or projects that you can both work on to sell to the masses. If you are looking for a great way to expand your business and maximize your profits, look into internet networking.

7 Simple Steps to Stop Procrastinating

7 Simple Steps to Stop Procrastinating

Are you a victim of laziness, a root cause of procrastination? Do you often suffer because of what you initially considered as easy has turned difficult with the loss of time, and what appeared hard, due to further delay, has become impossible now? You may draw comfort from the fact that you are in the company of many that are affected by procrastination. But you must realize that you will experience true comfort, if you get rid of your laziness by shaking yourself up into action. Like many others, you can indeed stop procrastinating and start meeting deadlines, by following a few simple steps that teach you effective time management.

  1. Plan your daily must-do activities. Draw up a to-do list; preferably, write it down on paper; or, use a computer if you prefer.

  2. Prioritize the activities, the more important ones taking precedence over the less important. If there are urgent things to do, but not important enough to be worried about if not done, put them below the important ones. The idea is based on the established principle that 80% of rewards accrue from 20% of effort directed towards accomplishing important work.

  3. Estimate the time required for each of the listed activities after analyzing their complexity. Avoid underestimation, as you may not have enough time to do well a particular of piece of work. Similarly, avoid overestimation, for that may leave some activities without enough time. A realistic budgeting of time is a must. Time allocation is a skill that is acquired with experience. So keep reviewing and revising your time schedule as you progress.

  4. Organize your life. That will help you avoid wasting your precious time and leave more time for the actual work. Remember indiscipline causes confusion, even chaos, in life. It eats into your time. Avoid sloppiness. For instance, leave your personal belongings of daily use, like your glasses, your clothing, your computer etc., in the same place. If you do, you won’t need to spend time looking for them all over the place. Apply the principle of doing work first and then taking time for pleasure and relaxation. Reverse the order only at the pain of falling prey to procrastination. You can get time for rest and relaxation if you are efficient in doing your assigned work.

  5. Start working bit by bit. You may see a mountain at first, but mountains can be moved, especially if you begin by moving just a small stone from it. You know you cannot move the entire mountain all at once. Do not be overwhelmed by the immensity of the task before you. That will put you off. And you will put off the task for another day, which will never come. Just begin by taking one small step and you will invariably reach your destination.

  6. Put first things first early in the day. Remember procrastination grows into a habit by the minute. Begin your day by launching yourself head first into the most important job waiting to be done.

  7. Learn to cope with anxiety, depression, stress and other similar conditions of the mind related to your problems in life. Keep yourself fit, not just physically but mentally as well. Learn and practice suitable mental relaxation techniques such as meditation.

Now is the time to start taking action and build momentum in your online business.

Take charge of your life and make it happen!

The Success Principles

Hey Everyone,

I hope your all enjoying the videos I’ve been posting in the blog… and different ways you can drive traffic to your site via videos.

I forgot to mention that I bought a few books in Manila, Instant Income by Janet Switzer and The Success Principle by Jack Canfield and Janet Switzer. I heard a lot of great things about Janet Switzer about building multiple streams of income from one product and I finally get to learn from her. Jack Canfield well… he is the co-author of Chicken Soup for Soul series.

I’m still long way from finishing The Success Principles but I’ve already picked up great tips from the book, Jack and Janet breaks down the principles into Fundamentals, Transforming yourself for Success, Build Your Success Team, Create Successful Relationships, Success and Money and Success Starts now… Its a very thorough book which breaks down everything you need to know and there are great quotes from Success people that will inspire you to take action.

I’m still longway away from finishing the book and I’m just getting great nuggets to help me through life and business.

Here’s some example:

First Principle - Take 100% Responsibility for Your Life.

If you want to be successful, you to take 100% responsibily for everything you experience in your life. This includes the level of your achievements, the results you product, the quality of your relationships, the state of your health and physical fitness, your income, your debts, your feelings-Everything!

And that’s just the start of the book… I can’t wait to put the book into action as I myself is on a form slump where I’m having problems with getting things done and pushing through ideas and products.

Pick up the book in Amazon for as low as $16US.

Here’s a video about the book…

Have a great week!!!
