If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

They finally have pushed it to another level, as my previous post about the APEC Summit with the 21 of the World Leaders here in Sydney Australia. The ABC Chanel’s “Chaser’s War On Everything” team of jokers/pranksters had tried to push the limits and breached the security of APEC restricted zone by having a three-car motorcade and drove within metres of George W. Bush’s Sydney Hotel.

I’ve been a huge fan of The Chaser’s War with Everything shows where they put together pranks on celebrities, shows and everything you can think off. They really have created controversy and buzz with there show.

It really embarassed the NSW Police Commissioner with the amount of over $100 Million spent on protecting and securing the 21 World Leaders. There were 11 of the Chaser’s team arrested and have been huge buzz all around the world and it could been worst for the team since the tight security have snipers all around… and anything could’ve happened.

I believe that everything were just a prank and no harm was intended to anyone… we’ll soon find out what they will do with the Chaser’s team. Chaser’s guys are total genious’ with creating publicity, controversy and buzz.

Check out some of their show clips on Youtube and Google Video. Here’s one of my favourite video:

APEC Summit comes back to Sydney

I know my blog is not about politics.. I just wanted to let everyone know about APEC Summit here in my hometown Sydney.

Enjoy

With all the World Leaders in Sydney CBD, the city has come to a stand still.

There have been strict police watch around the CBD with the likes of US, Australia, Russia Japan and more leaders all here in the heart of Sydney. Australian police has taken drastic messures to protect all the world leaders with anti terrorist type of security.

Protesters have been trying to disrupt the APEC Summit preparations with mass letter campaigns around the city with the most wanted protesters called and identified before the actual gathering not to come to sydney.

This event has also affected a lot of business owners in the Sydney CBD with big walls put up all around the city, maobile phone networks switched off and other tactics to avoid terrorist attacks.

We all hope that our world leaders really put there hats together and help our countries and those who are less fortunate.

Here’s a video that Prime Minister John Howard posted in Youtube to launch the APEC Summit.

As for employees, most have been given friday 7th of September 2007 as a Public holiday to clear out the city in advance.

We hope and pray that everyone benefit from the gathering of leaders and make the world a better place.

Fundamentals of Success 2 - Be Clear why You’re Here

lifepurpose.jpg

I meant to update everyone about the book I’m reading Success Principles by Jack Canfield and Janet Switzer which is by far the best book I’ve read this year…

Lets get started with the Second Principle:

Be Clear why You’re Here

What were you put on this Earth to do?

Without a purpose in life, its easy to get sidetracked on your life’s journey. Its easy to wander and drift, accomplishing little in your life. But with Purpose, everything in life seems to fall into place. A great way to find your life purpose is to right down a statement of what you want to do or be in life. You must be really clear at what you want and have a great “WHY” behind everything you do.

Your Inner Guidance System is Your Joy

We were all born with an inner guidance system that tells when we are on or off purpose by the amount of joy and happiness we are experiencing. The things that bring the greatest joy are in alignment with our purpose. To begin to home in your purpose, make a list of the times that you have felt most joyful, love and alive in your life. What are the common elements of these experiences? Can you figure out a way to make a living doing these things in your life?

Staying on Purpose

Once you have accomplished and written down your life purpose, readi it everyday, preferably in the morning, if are creative or strong with visual, you may want to draw, paint or cut out pictures that represent your life purpose.

To your success,

Making Wise Decisions

Making Wise Decisions

Life is full of choices, from what friends we want to make, to what clubs we want to join, to what courses we want to take, to what career we want to pursue, to where we want to live, etc. These are just some of the many questions we’ll go on to answer in our lives. The question is, how can we make the best decisions regarding these questions?

One cannot be afraid to make choices for himself/herself. For one thing, you probably won’t have someone else to make the choices for you, so you’re going to have to make the final choice. This doesn’t mean you can’t seek out others’ advice, from your parents and friends to guidance counselors and psychiatrists. But in the end, you have to make the final choice, based on the information available to you and what you feel is the best option for you.

The best way to make informed choices is to talk to people who have knowledge about the dilemma you’re facing. This will vary depending upon the situation. Listen carefully to the words of wisdom they provide. Preferably, get several peoples’ opinions and viewpoints before deciding on any one option.

From their advice and from any research you do on your own, figure out what options you have in regards to the dilemma.

Consider every option carefully and figure out the pros and cons of each option. Weigh the pros and cons of each option and decide which option gives you the best benefits at the lowest cost.

Once you have figured out which option benefits you the most at the least cost/risk, trust yourself to make the right decision and choose that option.

Only time will tell whether you made the right decision; in some cases, you’ll see that you made the right decision and things will go smoothly, according to plan. However, there will be other times when things won’t go smoothly or according to plan, possibly resulting in more complications and problems. This will indicate that you should have probably chosen another option. However, do not beat yourself up over making the wrong choice; this experience will teach you to consider other factors in future decisions you may not have considered in making this decision, thereby helping you grow as a person even when making the wrong decision.

In addition, sometimes things will not go according to plan even when you make a sound decision and the best possible choice at the time, so even though the decision didn’t result in the outcome you thought it would, it still can be a sound, even right, decision at that time. Realize also that finding out that a decision is the wrong decision is looking back in hindsight, and while reflecting on past choices can give you a better perspective of how to avoid future wrong choices, it’s not good to dwell on the past and beat yourself over poor past choices. Once you make your decision based on the information at hand, trust that you did the best you could with the information available and deal with the resulting consequences, good or bad.

I’m back home!!

Hey Everyone,

I’m finally back from my holiday to Philippines.

It was great and refreshing for me to see my family and friends in manila but I also was itching to come back home since my wife wouldn’t let me touch the laptop or any computer during our holiday… I managed to get access a few times but she was a bit irritated with me for getting online.

So what did we do since I last blogged about my trip? Well… Just shopping everyday!!!! I would be glad not to shop for awhile I tell you.

I didn’t get to meet with Ian Del Carmen as my phone broke and lost his number.

Overall, I had a great time with family and friends shopping for our baby boy.

More updates to come… as I am about to buy a Sofa since the apartment has been empty for 4 months!

Hear from me soon.

Carlo
