I’ve been busy lately going to a few hospitals with my wife two days overdue since our baby still hasn’t come out. Thankfully, everything is ok and as planned we’re still hoping for a natural delivery. I’ll post my interview podcast with Yaro Starak in a few days since I’m having problems with editing the audio and time constraints with our baby.

Are you ready for my tips to profit with a blog???

Blogs are one form that can do many different things and that includes making yourself some money with Internet marketing. Their are various ways to do this and were going to look at three of the most popular ways to make a profit with your blog. Affiliate programs are probably the most popular way to make profit on the Internet. An affiliate program is where you sell someone else’s product and in return you can get anywhere from 50-70 percent of the selling price in return. Most of these affiliate programs pay once a month or twice monthly. Some of these products will consist of e-books, software and membership sites. Their are many different ways to promote them with a blog. One of the most popular ways is through a review of the product. As people become familiar with your Internet marketing blog they value your opinion and will be more likely to buy from you than anyone else.

Pay per click advertising is another way to drive traffic to your blog and make sales from it. Pay per click is where you put so much money in an account and bid on keywords associated with your ads. When people click on these keywords of your ads then money is taken from your account. Each click gives you a visitor who is interested in what you have to sell. These are targeted visitors which means they are more likely to buy from you. Another part of pay per click advertising is Adsense. Adsense is where you are paid for visitors who come to your blog and click on ads that our on your blog. Using either option can drive a lot of traffic to your site and make you a good chuck of money.

Sponsored and Banner advertising to your blog is probably the most stable and profitable blog that can be passive recurring income. There are authority bloggers like John Chow who has made over $27,000US in November. You can see John Chow’s November Income here. John actually breaks down dissects and categorically shows you where he earned his money. Once you get the traffic and readership in your blog, I’m sure you can comfortably live off your blog.

Now if you want to create long term profit with your blog than search engine optimization is the best way to go about it. This means you will be using search engines and placement of your blogs to get them the best possible position on them. Traffic is the lifeblood of your blog so spending time on search engine optimization will probably be the best investment you will ever make. The more work you put into it the more you will get out of it. Their are many ways to make money with a blog, but if your in for the long run than search engine optimization is something you should study and learn as much as you can. Believe me in the long run it will be worth all the time and money you spend on it.

As you can see blogs can make you money if you go about it properly. The key is to take your time and learn as much as possible. Many blogs make their owners thousands of dollars a month. It doesn’t happen overnight, but it can happen. Follow a proven plan and your Blog could be the next big thing that people are talking about. Blogs are the future so embrace it and make some good money at it.

Four Ways To Create A Stable Online Income You Can Count On…

Four Ways To Create A Stable Online Income You Can Count On

If you own your own website, there are a variety of things you can do to generate extra income for yourself. To enjoy the most success from your efforts, you must take into consideration your existing website content, as well as your particular target audience. You will also want to know the approximate number of visitors you regularly receive to your website.

Once you have this information, you can implement any of the following:

  1. Use the web resources

Include Google Adsense on your web pages. Google delivers text and image ads that are targeted to your site and its content. When people click on an ad, you will receive a portion of the amount paid to Google by the advertiser. On average, you can expect to receive anywhere between 2 cents to a dollar per click, depending on the keyword.

Make money selling other people’s products and services through affiliate programs. Each program you register for should provide you with an affiliate link to track your referrals. Depending on the program, you will normally be paid on a per sale basis or for each sign-up you generate.

Sell advertising space on your web site. You could sell banner and/or classified ads. If you want to make additional money, sell sponsor ads and place them in a special section or towards the top of your website for the most exposure.

  1. Membership services

If you have enough web space available on your server, you could rent web pages to other people. You could also give the web pages away for free, but include your banner or advertisement on them to generate income for yourself.

Charge people a fee to access a dedicated part of your website. People will pay you money for your website content if it’s valuable to them. The content can be ebooks, reports, software, etc.

  1. Sell your own products or services.

They should be related to your target audience. Selling your own product is your preference. Think of ways to improve them once you have made up your mind investing in them. Make your reader visualize they have already bought your product in your ad. Tell them what results they have gotten and how it makes them feel. They’ll already be emotionally attached before they buy. Products sold online make the most money. You have to make sure you have a decent sales marketing plan, which includes a good website to sell the products. Turn your ad into an article. It could be a story or how-to article.

This will lead them into your ad without them knowing it’s an ad. They’ll already be interested when they get to your sales pitch. Give them a couple tips in your ad that will help them with their problem. This will give your business credibility and gain your readers trust to buy your products or services. You can count on them as long as you maintain your integrity and have a good healthy environment for you and your customers.

You will also want the ability to securely accept credit card payments directly from your website. Other forms of payment such as PayPal, ClickBank, etc. are also preferred. Delivery of your product should be as fast and efficient as possible.

  1. Publish an e-zine from your website.

An electronic magazine, whether delivered via a Web site or an email newsletter is highly recommended. Ezines can inform your prospects to buy your products, In addition to direct sales of products or services you are promoting, you could sell classified or sponsor advertising inside your e-zine.

You can have your own mailing list to have a good number of prospects. From your website, you have to give them the option of subscribing to your ezine mailing list, which you can do easily. Have people subscribe to the e-zine right from your website.

Each of these ideas will generate income, but if you are a new website owner, I recommend starting with Google Adsense. These ads continue to grow in popularity and are easy to customize and install on your webpages–simply copy and paste a block of HTML.

For new internet home business entrepreneurs, in addition to Google Ads, you should also consider affiliate programs. Most affiliate programs are free to join and usually offer marketing tools and resources that are readily available for your use.

Have a great day!

To your Success,

2 Criterias To Your Best Chances for Affiliate Success

Dynamic Duo: Your Best Chances for Affiliate Success

Affiliate marketing is noted by many as being one of the most effective ways to make money online today. Affiliate programs on the whole are pretty easy to join and start using, plus they pay you commission regularly which helps pay your bills.

But just as there are difficult issues to deal with in other enterprising money-making programs, online or off, there are issues to combat with regards to affiliate marketing, as well. Too many people jump aboard not fully knowing the best way to proceed. And results are often great losses of effort, time and money on marketing and sales work. To avoid these or at least minimize your risk in these areas, here are two main things to focus on when dealing with affiliate marketing.

Buy It and Try it!

When you are an affiliate marketer, you are mainly trying to let your prospects and clients know that you are promoting a product that you believe in, bottom line. You don’t want to pull products from thin air that you know nothing about and then try to promote them, especially using fake products reviews that could be presenting erroneous information.

Instead, focus on what you know. What products have you been using and recommending already to your friends and relatives. Cell phone service? Cable television? Any special books?

Then locate affiliate programs for these. Try LinkShare.com and search for other affiliate marketing programs on the Internet.

A popular affiliate marketing program site with electronic products (ebooks and software) is Clickbank.com. Products are fairly inexpensive there, so you can buy something you actually need to try it out before selling it yourself.

Joining Affiliate Programs.

You may be like many others out there and jump in full steam, joining many affiliate marketing programs out there so that you can try to maximize your efforts. Don’t!

Yes, it would be great to have multiple streams of income. But you need to grow slowly, focusing on one program at a time, product by product. Why? A couple reasons:

1) Payouts are usually based upon total amount you’ve sold in the entire affiliate marketing program. So you don’t want to spread your income out so think that you don’t receive any checks for long periods.

2) Affiliate marketing programs change their clients, their rules and their links from time to time, and some products stop being sold. And especially with places like Commission Junction at cj.com, if you do not have sales for a couple of months, you’re account becomes void, all your links inactive for you – and this cannot be reversed. So you’d need to set up all new links.

So buy it and try it before you sell it. And stay sharp to stay on top of things!

Yaro’s 10 Blog Traffic Tips

Hi All,

As you all know, I’ve been really getting stuck into posting and updating my blog and its starting to get a bit of readers… that’s why your here reading this blog!

Its close to going to my full revamp to a web2.0 style… thanks to a few friends like Yaro…

Here’s his 10 Blogging Traffic tips to start getting more readership for your blog:

In every bloggers life comes a special day - the day they first launch a new blog. Now unless you went out and purchased someone else’s blog chances are your blog launched with only one very loyal reader - you. Maybe a few days later you received a few hits when you told your sister, father, girlfriend and best friend about your new blog but that’s about as far you went when it comes to finding readers.

Here are the top 10 techniques new bloggers can use to find readers. These are tips specifically for new bloggers, those people who have next-to-no audience at the moment and want to get the ball rolling.

It helps if you work on this list from top to bottom as each technique builds on the previous step to help you create momentum. Eventually once you establish enough momentum you gain what is called “traction”, which is a large enough audience base (about 500 readers a day is good) that you no longer have to work too hard on finding new readers. Instead your current loyal readers do the work for you through word of mouth.

Top 10 Tips

  1. Write at least five major “pillar” articles. A pillar article is usually a tutorial style article aimed to teach your audience something. Generally they are longer than 500 words and have lots of very practical tips or advice. This article you are currently reading could be considered a pillar article since it is very practical and a good “how-to” lesson. This style of article has long term appeal, stays current (it isn’t news or time dependent) and offers real value and insight. The more pillars you have on your blog the better.

  2. Write one new blog post per day minimum. Not every post has to be a pillar, but you should work on getting those five pillars done at the same time as you keep your blog fresh with a daily news or short article style post. The important thing here is to demonstrate to first time visitors that your blog is updated all the time so they feel that if they come back tomorrow they will likely find something new. This causes them to bookmark your site or subscribe to your blog feed.

You don’t have to produce one post per day all the time but it is important you do when your blog is brand new. Once you get traction you still need to keep the fresh content coming but your loyal audience will be more forgiving if you slow down to a few per week instead. The first few months are critical so the more content you can produce at this time the better.

  1. Use a proper domain name. If you are serious about blogging be series about what you call your blog. In order for people to easily spread the word about your blog you need an easily rememberable domain name. People often talk about blogs they like when they are speaking to friends in the real world (that’s the offline world, you remember that place right?) so you need to make it easy for them to spread the word and pass on your URL. Try and get a .com if you can and focus on small easy to remember domains rather than worry about having the correct keywords (of course if you can get great keywords and easy to remember then you’ve done a good job!).

  2. Start commenting on other blogs. Once you have your pillar articles and your daily fresh smaller articles your blog is ready to be exposed to the world. One of the best ways to find the right type of reader for your blog is to comment on other people’s blogs. You should aim to comment on blogs focused on a similar niche topic to yours since the readers there will be more likely to be interested in your blog.

Most blog commenting systems allow you to have your name/title linked to your blog when you leave a comment. This is how people find your blog. If you are a prolific commentor and always have something valuable to say then people will be interested to read more of your work and hence click through to visit your blog.

  1. Trackback and link to other blogs in your blog posts. A trackback is sort of like a blog conversation. When you write a new article to your blog and it links or references another blogger’s article you can do a trackback to their entry. What this does is leave a truncated summary of your blog post on their blog entry - it’s sort of like your blog telling someone else’s blog that you wrote an article mentioning them. Trackbacks often appear like comments.

This is a good technique because like leaving comments a trackback leaves a link from another blog back to yours for readers to follow, but it also does something very important - it gets the attention of another blogger. The other blogger will come and read your post eager to see what you wrote about them. They may then become a loyal reader of yours or at least monitor you and if you are lucky some time down the road they may do a post linking to your blog bringing in more new readers.

  1. Encourage comments on your own blog. One of the most powerful ways to convince someone to become a loyal reader is to show there are other loyal readers already following your work. If they see people commenting on your blog then they infer that your content must be good since you have readers so they should stick around and see what all the fuss is about. To encourage comments you can simply pose a question in a blog post. Be sure to always respond to comments as well so you can keep the conversation going.

  2. Submit your latest pillar article to a blog carnival. A blog carnival is a post in a blog that summarizes a collection of articles from many different blogs on a specific topic. The idea is to collect some of the best content on a topic in a given week. Often many other blogs link back to a carnival host and as such the people that have articles featured in the carnival enjoy a spike in new readers.

To find the right blog carnival for your blog, do a search at http://blogcarnival.com/.

  1. Submit your blog to blogtopsites.com. To be honest this tip is not going to bring in a flood of new readers but it’s so easy to do and only takes five minutes so it’s worth the effort. Go to Blog Top Sites, find the appropriate category for your blog and submit it. You have to copy and paste a couple of lines of code on to your blog so you can rank and then sit back and watch the traffic come in. You will probably only get 1-10 incoming readers per day with this technique but over time it can build up as you climb the rankings. It all helps!

  2. Submit your articles to EzineArticles.com. This is another tip that doesn’t bring in hundreds of new visitors immediately (although it can if you keep doing it) but it’s worthwhile because you simply leverage what you already have - your pillar articles. Once a week or so take one of your pillar articles and submit it to Ezine Articles. Your article then becomes available to other people who can republish your article on their website or in their newsletter.

How you benefit is through what is called your “Resource Box”. You create your own resource box which is like a signature file where you include one to two sentences and link back to your website (or blog in this case). Anyone who publishes your article has to include your resource box so you get incoming links. If someone with a large newsletter publishes your article you can get a lot of new readers at once.

  1. Write more pillar articles. Everything you do above will help you to find blog readers however all of the techniques I’ve listed only work when you have strong pillars in place. Without them if you do everything above you may bring in readers but they won’t stay or bother to come back. Aim for one solid pillar article per week and by the end of the year you will have a database of over 50 fantastic feature articles that will work hard for you to bring in more and more readers.
